Recognized as the global authority in luxury travel and leisure, the Forbes Guide’s thorough rating system sees highly trained inspectors visit, examine and verify leading properties across 44 countries. Five-Star properties are measured on their flawless service and best-in-class facilities.

This year marks the 100th anniversary of the historic American Club building, which was once home to immigrants who came to work at the Kohler factory. Boasting elegant rooms outfitted with the finest Kohler plumbing products, The American Club also encompasses an evolving health and wellbeing program with Kohler Waters Spa and Yoga on the Lake at the core; 12 distinct dining establishments; and championship golf courses, Whistling Straits and Blackwolf Run, which collectively have hosted three PGA Championships, the U.S. Senior Open, two U.S. Women’s Opens, and will host the upcoming 2020 Ryder Cup.

Earlier this year, the award-winning spa announced renovation plans, which will include nine new treatment rooms, an expansive common space with additional seating around the spa’s prominent relaxation pool and a luxurious bridal suite. The completed expansion will be commemorated on June 1, with the roll out of a new signature hydrotherapy service.
The Forbes Guide also recognized The Immigrant Restaurant with its Four-Star rating, an honor reserved for a select few dining establishments, which embody “high levels of service and quality of facility to match.” The Immigrant Restaurant is rich in character and historic elegance. Located within The American Club, the layout is designed in six spaces, representing the nationalities that populated Wisconsin in its early days (French, Dutch, German, Normandy, Danish and English), creating an intimate and romantic atmosphere, which is complemented by contemporary American cuisine and modern European influences.
